Media Registration for UPCEA Conferences

Qualified members of the media are encouraged to register for complimentary press passes to UPCEA events. Every press pass application is evaluated independently for each event, regardless of prior event attendance. Press credentials are not transferable.

Eligibility

Complimentary registration is available to credentialed journalists (e.g., professional reporters, editors, writers, news photographers, producers and online editors) who work for a publication, news service, broadcast outlet or news site that is issued/published regularly, primarily for the dissemination of news, and operates independently from any commercial, political, government or special interest. Only media whose primary responsibility is the coverage of the higher education or online learning sectors and related news will be considered for credentials.

Freelance writers must be able to provide proof of editorial assignment from a reputable editor at an appropriate publication.

Bloggers seeking press credentials must be working journalists or be affiliated in an editorial capacity with a qualified news outlet as described above. As a general rule, bloggers must also have been writing daily or weekly posts for at least six months.

If you have plans to record audio or video onsite at an UPCEA event, prior approval, coordination, and understanding of UPCEA and venue filming and recording guidelines is required. Please reach out to our PR/Media team at [email protected] for assistance with your request.

The following are not eligible for press registration: sales, social media, advertising and marketing staff, analysts, brand content producers, academic faculty or administrators, researchers, authors, consultants and other non-media attendees. Non-media attendees can visit the UPCEA events page for information on registration for upcoming events.
