UPCEA's membership consists of major public and private institutions, as well as corporate entities and others engaging in online and professional continuing higher education. The total number of individuals with membership and is nearly 10,000 individuals strong and counting.

* Each institution has one Institutional Representative, one Alternative Representative and one representative to the Online Leadership Roundtable as their Chief Online Learning Officer. Institutions may have as many professional members on their roster as needed.

Roster positions for institutional members are not available to consultants or part-time temporary employees. Corporate users who have employment at both an institution and a corporation cannot utilize their institutional account for corporate gain and membership.
