UPCEA AI Study Groups

Move from AI exploration to action.

UPCEA’s AI Study Groups are four-week, peer-driven learning experiences designed to help higher education professionals move beyond AI experimentation and develop a practical path forward.

Grounded in UPCEA’s AI Maturity Index and Capstone Framework, each Study Group brings together a small cohort of peers to assess current AI readiness, identify a priority business need, and build an actionable roadmap for their institution, division, or functional unit.

What You’ll Gain

Over four weeks, you’ll:

  • Assess where you are today using UPCEA’s AI Maturity Index
  • Identify a priority business need and explore where AI can make a meaningful difference
  • Build an AI action roadmap with practical short- and long-term next steps
  • Test and refine your plan through peer discussion and feedback
  • Leave ready to move forward with a clearer plan for communicating and advancing your priorities

The experience is designed for professionals at varying levels of AI maturity, from those establishing a foundation to those ready to move existing efforts toward broader application and transformation.

How it Works

Each Study Group is limited to 25 participants, creating a small, collaborative environment for meaningful discussion, peer exchange, and feedback. Participants should plan to dedicate approximately two hours per week to live sessions and related activities.

Because each session builds on the one before it, participation in all four sessions is important to both your experience and the cohort’s. Space is limited and a waitlist is expected, so if you know you cannot attend all four dates, we encourage you to select a future Study Group that better fits your schedule.
